Formal Paper #2
? From the movie/film "It’s a Wonderful Life" and the short story "A Rose for Emily" write a 2-3 page character analysis showing how the development of the main characters (or lack thereof) is central to the understanding of the story as a whole.
The main characters are George Bailey and Emily Grierson.
Remember, this is a high school American literature paper. We are instructed to watch certain movies at times to show comparison to the short stories we read. I say that to say this-"My instructor is also a college professor by night". PLEASE make it simple and take it easy on the big words because she will question it and use "Turnitin.com" to check for plagiarism if she suspects ANYTHING suspicious. I CAN’T STRESS THAT ENOUGH!
Paper Format
?All work must be typed and double-spaced using a standard 12-point font unless otherwise specified. Please do not include a cover page. All papers should be titled and have your last name, page number and date in the lower right hand margin. Margins should be 1? on all sides. All papers must be stapled. CITATIONS and REFERENCES ARE NOT NECCESSARY for this paper, however, if need be in order to make a point, quotations from each story are highly encouraged to support analysis.
Academic Honesty
?Unless it is specifically connected to assigned collaborative work, all work should be individual. Evidence of collusion (working with someone not connected to the class or assignment), plagiarism (use of someone else?s published or unpublished words or design without acknowledgement) or multiple submissions (submitting the same paper in different courses) will lead to the schools’ procedures for dealing with academic dishonesty. All students are expected to honor their commitment to the schools’ Honor Code.
